Background:
Renth Youth Mission Foundation is a Non- Governmental Organization registered under the registration of societies Act, 1860 as amended vide registration and Nagaland registration of societies Act, 1969. The registration number bearing H/RS-2994, which dated: 14/02/2003. Its area of operation is in Nagaland.  Since 2004 April the organization has been working under SACS Nagaland Programme on prevention of Drugs abuse HIV/AIDS &STI. The organization is also in support of the Prodigals’ Home Dimapur which has been operating and implementing in Baghty for the three and half year. The Harm Reduction policy is been implemented by the organization with the efforts and proper guidance from the present funding agent.  The organization has extended its Drop in Centre (DICs) in Baghty town and Sub- DIC at Lakhuti village for better coverage of the targeted population. The PSA exercise conducted by the agency has made the organization more aware of the needs of the targeted population and respective geographical working areas. The Project is currently covering 13 villages and out of it, the break-ups are 34 zones.    Since the inception of the Project the main goal is to Rduce Transmission of HIV/AIDS, TB and its related issues.and it has been implementing upto date, Identifying the numbers of the targeted groups and their mobility pattern, the places and the localities of the high-risk group who are the best instruments of the programme. Infact the majority of our IDUs are male. To ensure the safety measures of injecting among them and also for safety sexual practices. As an extension of an old programme the Project emphasis more on the Harm Reduction policy.

Objective:

• Intervention to reduce HIV/AIDS transmission and reach out to larger group of the Target population
• To educate and reduce stigma and discrimination towards IDUs and PLHAs.
• To find and design suitable services, strategies, such as NSEP, distribution of condom, STI and abscess management
